Community Awareness Activities
Community-based social activities play an important role in raising awareness about obstetric fistula and promoting its prevention. PNFWH organizes interactive initiatives such as stage plays, community theater, and cultural performances that communicate important maternal health messages in ways that are engaging and culturally familiar to local communities.
These activities help educate people about the causes of obstetric fistula, including prolonged obstructed labor and lack of access to skilled medical care. By encouraging open dialogue, these programs help reduce stigma, promote early treatment-seeking behavior, and support the social acceptance and reintegration of survivors within their communities.

Reintegration and Empowerment of Survivors
PNFWH also conducts social activities that support the reintegration and empowerment of women who have survived obstetric fistula. These initiatives focus on restoring confidence, rebuilding dignity, and helping women regain independence after treatment.
Programs may include vocational training such as tailoring, handicrafts, and soap making, along with small business support and microcredit opportunities. Support groups and community outreach activities also provide emotional support and encourage survivors to share their experiences, helping to reduce stigma and raise awareness about maternal health.
Through these efforts, PNFWH aims to empower survivors to rebuild their lives and become active, respected members of their communities.
